SAMOA    is equipped with a large front compartment with a foam/fiberglass bulkhead and screw-type hatch lid.   This boat will accommodate large paddlers with normal hips and moderate length legs. A padder over 6' in height may have problems due to the proximity of the bulkhead to the seat. The seat is not overly wide and we suggest that this boat be restricted to those paddlers who are relatively trim, less than 6' tall and less than 230 lbs. weight. The rear underdeck will accommodate two dry bags accessable from behind the seat, giving this kayak a large cargo area for its length. The concave rear deck permits easy boarding in the event of a capsize, and the generous beam provides excellent stability. The squared off stern rides above the water line and contributes to the stability and cargo capacity of this kayak.   Footrests are adjustable while seated in the cockpit. Bow lifelines and carrying handles are included.

The cockpit is 33" x 17" and the seat is built in with a width of 15" at the hips.  The boat is furnished with a battened backband for paddler comfort. 

Suitable for all paddlers including novices, it's a stable - easy turning, good tracking  boat.  The rear compartment is accessed behind the seat.  This boat was designed for heavier paddlers;  it is suitable for moderate downriver use, as well as lakes, bays and limited coastal use.
