Alaska Fiberglass Kayak

ALASKA is equipped with front and rear compartments, foam/fiberglass bulkheads and rubber hatch lids. The front hatch opening is 10" in diameter and the oval rear hatch is 18" X 11". Equipped with an ergonomic seat, which can be re-positioned forward or back. The rear cockpit rim is dropped and the boat comes fitted with a comfortable backrest (not shown). This boat has a low profile, is straight tracking and turns easily. It is stable, light, and handles beautifully with no need for rudder or skeg (however it is fitted with a rudder attachment). . It comes equipped with lifelines, paddle groove w/elastic tie-downs, crossed deck elastics, and carrying toggles. Here is an outstanding boat for beginners and experts alike.

Compare to the Seal The cockpit is 31" long x 17" wide to allow easy entry for recreational kayakers. If you require a smaller cockpit examine the Janautica Seal. The Seal uses the same hull design as the Alaska but the cockpit has smaller dimensions.

This boat fits paddlers under 6’ in height (due to restricted leg room) and up to 180 lbs. in weight. Footrests can easily be modified for paddlers up to 6' 2" in height. This boat has restricted thigh room due to its minimal deck height. (The low height minimizes windage). It would not be suitable for instance for a paddler 5'2" in height at 180 lbs. It's a trim boat for trim people.
